Purpose of Standard Operating Procedures: To develop guidelines and procedures to manage and cultivate independent productivity in the classroom.
Educational Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) are a set of fixed instructions or steps (usually in flow chart or list form) that standardize some repeated procedure in a class.
Classroom SOP's should focus on things that are done in the classroom on a repeated basis and allow the teacher to reference this instructional flowchart or list instead of having to repeat, over and over, a set of routine instructions for a task.
Examples of Common Repeated Procedures in a Classroom:
